Getting Rid of Body Odor

Tips for Getting Rid of Chronic Body Odor

  • Clean up! Get a wash cloth and soap up those extra smelly spots a couple of times a day.
  • Stay out of the heat. Sweat just makes your body odor more obvious.
  • Be aware that antiperspirants can cause more problems than they solve. They clog pores causing cysts and pimples. Deodorant is a must, but take care.
  • Try applying cornstarch or baby powder beneath your arms when you step out of the shower.
  • Quit the sweets. Sugar is a bacterial feast and eating lots of it will only make you a playground for smelly bacteria.
  • A paste of baking soda and water can do wonders when applied to odiferous areas.
  • Keep in mind that smoking dulls your sense of smell, but makes you more fragrant. You may not know you stink, but others do.
  • Alcohol is another common source of bad odor. Don’t drink to excess. It’s bad for your body and your social life.
